Germany President Joachim Gauck Arrives in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, March 18 (WIC) -Germany President Joachim Gauck arrives in Addis Ababa for a four day official visit to Ethiopia in the afternoon of 17 March 2013.

Mekonnen Manyazewal, Minister of Industry and other Ethiopian officials have welcomed the President at Bole International Airport.

President Joachim Gauck will meet Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn in the National Palace.

Sources say the first lady of Germany and Ethiopia would also have discussions.
Monday morning Joachim Gauck is scheduled to meet President Girma Woldegiorgis to hold discussions.

Joachim Gauck will visit the African Union Commission and meet Dr. Dlamini Zuma, chief of AUC.
Tuesday, the President is expected to visit Lalibela Church.

The President is expected to visit Addis Ababa Tegbareid TVET College on Wednesday before he leaves Addis Ababa that same day afternoon.
According to ENA, The President is accompanied by a delegation comprising around 60 officials.
