Modern media complex building inaugurated

Addis Ababa, March 17 (WIC) -A modern media complex building equipped with latest media technology was inaugurated on Saturday in Bahirdar town, Amhara State.

The four-floor building is constructed with over 200 million birr by the Amhara Mass Media Agency.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Demeke Mekonnen said the building, equipped with modern technology will significantly contribute to efficient information exchange and dissemination.

Demeke said executives, journalists as well as administrative and technical personnel need to discharge their responsibilities in the ongoing efforts to build democracy and speed up development through making use of the modern facility.

He also stressed the need to focus on main national issues and create national consensus.
Agency Manager, Seidu Eshete on his part said the building is equipped with modern technology.

The Manager said the Agency will strive to fulfill information needs of the public in the region making use of the new technology.
