EPRDF to evaluate GTP performance at 9th Organizational Congress

Addis Ababa, March 7 (WIC) – The Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) said it will evaluate the two and a half years performance of the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) at its 9th Organizational Congress.

EPRDF External and Public Relations Department Head, Seko Toure Getcahew, told journalist here yesterday that EPRDF will review  performance of the GTP, EPRDF’s political and organizational activities and determine activities of the party in the years to come.

The Congress will also see how the country is progressing in achieving the transformation from agriculture led to industry driven economy, he said.

Moreover, the Congress will also see how the leadership succession is happening in the party, he added.

The 9th Organizational Congress will be held late this month in Bahir Dar City of Amhara State with a theme “Meles’ Political ideologies for Renaissance through strong Party and Development mobilization.”

The Congress is estimated to attract 2,500 participants from around the country and representatives of parties from 15 friendly countries.
