Girma encourages nurturing culture of tolerance

Addis Ababa, March 6, 2013 (WIC) - President Girma Woldegiorgis encourages religious leaders to further nurture culture of tolerance among religions in the country.

This came as President Girma met the 6th Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church His Holiness Abune Mathias on Tuesday.

The President said religious leaders have key role to sustain the rich culture of tolerance that has matured with freedom of religion and belief.

He admires contribution of the Church to the culture and role of the church for development and peace.

According to ENA, Abune Mathias responded the Church will keep enhancing tolerance among religions.
