TFG of Somalia deserves support from the int’l community!

The state in Somalia has remained fragile for the past three decades. The dire situation in the country has been worsening since Al-Shabab’s occupation of some parts of it. This terrorist group has not only coerced the people of Somalia to lead a misery life but also poisoned peace and stability in  the region.

Al-Shabab banned aid from western countries to the people in areas under its control. This manmade problem coupled with the current draught in the area made life difficult for the people of Smalia. As a result, millions of people have continued escapping to neighboring countries in a bid to look for means of survival. The number of somali refugees  in Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya, Sudan and other countries has been increasing from time to time.

Al-Shabab has not only been poisoning the country’s peace but also killing, torturing and imprisoning the people of Somalia. Despite the sever hate they developed against Al-Shababa, they couldn’t see its back.

Al-Shabab has also been poisoning the peace and stability of the region. It has been attempting to make the region safe heaven for al-Quada. Despite efforts made by some peace loving African countries, no major improvements have registered so far as there is lack of commitment on the sides of the international community to back the Trasitional Federal Government (TFG)  of Smalia and its allies.

On the other hand, the TFG of Somalia has been attempting to clear Somalia from Al-Shabab and bring lasting peace in the country. But it lacks lots of things to effectively accomplish this task. It, obviously, needs unreserved support from the neighboring countries, Africa and the international communities.

Therefore, it is of paramount importance to back the Transitional Government of Somalia in order to ease the suffering of  the people and ensure the prevailing of lasting peace in the Horn.

There are a few countries devoted to support Somalia in a bid to bring an enduring peace in the Horn in general and Somalia in particular. Firstly, this effort should be viewed positively and appereciated. And then it should be meaningfully backed by the international community.

How do you think foreign observers accept the action (i.e. the action of diverting the Abay course)?

Did you expect that Ethiopia could have the capacity to divert the course of Abay (the Nile) for the time being for the project’s purpose?
