TPLF, people of Tigray committed to Ethiopia’s renaissance
Addis Ababa, February 18, 2013 (WIC) - The Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) and the people of Tigray will renew commitment to strive towards success of Ethiopia's renaissance, Central Committee of the TPLF says in a statement.
In its statement in connection with 38th founding anniversary of the TPLF, the Central Committee said that the TPLF and the people of Tigray will strive to realize the vision of the Great Leader, late Meles Zenawi towards the same goal.
The statement said the Tigray people led by the TPLF had managed to oust the Dergue regime through a bitter struggle. It said the party and the people are now on the right track to achieve the Growth and Transformation Plan designed by Meles to eradicate poverty.
The statement said the public in rural and urban parts of Tigray will further strengthen ongoing development activities to achieve the visions of the Great Leader in particular in ensuring the quality of education and prevention of the death of mothers while giving life.
According to ENA, it also said the TPLF and the people of Tigray will further strengthen ongoing efforts in collaboration with nations, nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia to realize the renaissance of the country.
