Ethiopia will strengthen relation with UAE: PM Hailemariam
Addis Ababa, February 6/2013 (WIC) - Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said Ethiopia will strive to further intensify existing ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
While discussing with a delegation led by UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Lubna Bintkhalid Al Qasimi here Tuesday, PM Hailemariam said the government will give prime attention to support efforts of UAE investors to engage in different sectors in Ethiopia.
The Premier said Ethiopia has ample investment opportunities in particular investors engaged in the agriculture and manufacturing sectors are more successful.
The UAE Minister on the occasion said UAE investors are keen to engage in trade, investment, telecommunication, air transport and tourism sectors, among others, in Ethiopia.
The Minister said a pharmaceutical industry constructed in collaboration with UAE's Julphar Company and Meditech Ethiopia was inaugurated same day.
The company is engaged in manufacturing pharmaceuticals in 50 different countries. (ENA)
