Addis Ababa residents elect public election observers

Addis Ababa, December 31, 2012 (WIC) - Public election observers were elected on Sunday in various election centers of Addis Ababa City for the 2013 local and Addis Ababa councils’ elections.

Residents of the City gathered at their woredas elected public election observers whom they said would observe the election representing the public.

Some residents who participated in the election told ERTA the election observers they have chosen are non-partisan, and credible to observe the election process.

Those elected public election observers said they are ready to discharge their responsibility and contribute to the fairness and peacefulness of the local election.

According to ERTA, five public election observers were elected for each election center in Addis Ababa.
