The Enterprise undertakes capacity building activities

Addis Ababa, December 29, 2012(WIC) - Ethiopian Shipping and Logistic Service Enterprise said that it is undertaking capacity building works with government support.

In his opening speech on the training for Executives of the Enterprise, Chairperson of the Board, Mekuria Haile, stated that the government has supporting the Enterprise to improve services through restructuring it.

The Dry Port, Maritime and Transit service as well as Ethiopian Shipping Lines merged last year, the Chairperson said, adding that giving trainings on the policies and strategies of the country could enhance its services. 

CEO of the enterprise Ahmed Tusa, on his part, stated that the Enterprise is currently working on capacity building aiming at enabling itself to undertake the new multimodal transport system.

He also said that the Enterprise is hiring international consultants with the aim of standardizing the service; besides various trainings are provided to the staff.
