Forum participants highlight importance of decentralization

Gambella, December 29 (WIC) – The Gambella State medium-level leaderships vowed to contribute their share in the efforts being made to effectively realize decentralized system.

At a discussion forum jointly organized by the Gambella State and Walta Information Center, the leaderships stressed the importance of decentralization to ensure development and good governance as well as build democracy.

Garwich Galwak and Saymen Ujulu, who took part at the forum, said leaders at all levels in the state are expected to discharge their responsibilities in realizing decentralized system to quench the public’s thirst for development.

Garwich and Saymen also pledged to do their parts in the efforts to ensure decentralization and good governance by applying the knowledge they acquired from the discussion forum.
