Addis Ababa, December 24 (WIC) –Some 7.6 million food insecure beneficiaries were embraced in safety-net program last Ethiopian budget year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture
Ministry Public Relations Senior Expert, Mohammed Aba Milki, told WIC efforts were made to enable the beneficiaries
ensure their food security through providing them with loan and other services.
According to Mohammed, the MoA planned to embrace 3.67 million beneficiaries in the reported period.
Mohammed further noted that some 226, 881 households embraced by the program previously have become food–self sufficient.
