Addis set to host 2nd Int’l Conference on Pulses, Oilseeds and Spices

Addis Ababa, November 19 (WIC) – The 2nd International Conference on Pulses, Oilseeds and Spices will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 28th-29th November, 2012.

The Conference under the theme, “Agri-Commodity Trade: Challenges & Opportunities,” will bring together over 100 major international buyers and over 150 national exporters.

The national exporters will showcase their new harvested products of pulses, oilseeds, and spices.

The Conference will include sessions that highlight current trends and developments of the sector in Ethiopia and around the world, cross-cutting issues on the marketing and processing of the products, and industry best practices and trends.

Ethiopian Pulses, Oilseeds and Spices Processors-Exporters Association (EPOSPEA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade of Ethiopia, will provide the platform for participants to identify opportunities, make deals, and network with their industry peers from within the country and from importing countries.

The program will include research findings that will give insight on the trends & developments of the sector in Ethiopia, Africa and other parts of the world.

Dynamic presentations and panel discussions will also be featured at the two-day conference.

National and international professionals engaged in agriculture, development and marketing, exporters, importers, policy makers and development partners will attend the event.
