4th Ethiopian Cities’ Week to kick off Saturday in Adama

Addis Ababa, November 10, 2012 (WIC) ¬The 4th Ethiopian Cities’ Week would be celebrated starting Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Adama town of Oromiya state.

The Week would be celebrated under the theme: Our cities would accomplish the vision of Meles by becoming the birthplaces of industrialists.

According to Desalegn Ambaw, state minister of Urban Development and Construction, more than 136 cities and 16 organizations are expected to partake in the weeklong event.

The performance of each city would be evaluated based on seven major urban development sectors including micro and small enterprises, job creation, land management and housing. Winners would be awarded at the end of the week.

According to ERTA, Mayor of Adama City, Guta Lanchore for his part said the city has finalized preparations to host the colorful event.
