State Council endorses bills, appointment

Addis Ababa, November 10, 2012 (WIC) ¬ The Tigray State Council concluded its ninth regular meeting Thursday after endorsing bills and appointment.

Accordingly, the council has approved the bill providing for the interpretation of the regional constitution and constitution affairs inquiry council and its power and duties.

The council has also approved 1.9 billion Birr budget for the purchase of select seed and fertilizers. The council has also elected 11 members for the regional constitutional affairs inquiry council.
According to ENA, it has also endorsed unanimously bills on farmers' training centers revenue utilization and powers and duties of the amended regional Auditor General Office. The Council said the bills help to intensify efforts towards the realization of Growth and Transformation Plan.
