Addis Ababa, November 10, 2012 (WIC) ¬ - Revenue Authority of Diredawa City Administration announced plan to collect over 250 million Birr revenue in the current Ethiopian budget year.
Authority Representative, Gizachew Alemu told ENA Friday that the Authority has created situation to provide efficient service to tax payers.
Gizachew said the Authority had collected over 64 million Birr revenue during the first three months of the budget year. The plan was to collect over 62 million Birr revenue during the reported period.
According to ENA, the revenue exceeded by six per cent that of the set target and also surpassed by 38 per cent compared to that of same time in the previous year. Raised awareness on side of tax payers and efforts to give efficient services to tax payers, among others, contributed to the growth in the revenue.
