Addis Ababa, November 8, 2012 (WIC) - Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn here on Wednesday held talks with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Wendy Sherman on bilateral issues.
The Premier on the occasion said Ethiopia is keen to further strengthen the existing cooperation with the U.S., in particular in the areas of economy, security, human rights and democracy.
He said Ethiopia has gained significant support from the US in such areas. Hailemariam also expressed hope that the Under Secretary's visit will further boost the cooperation and the development assistance the US provides to Ethiopia, according to a high level official, who attended the meeting.
Under Secretary Sherman on her part said the discussion with the Prime Minister was successful. She affirmed that the existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries will continue strengthened.
