Addis Ababa, September 19, 2012 (WIC) - The public in Assela Town, Oromia State have bought over seven million Birr worth bonds for construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, the town government communication affairs office said.

Office Head, Gebo Tussa told ENA Monday that government employees, members of cooperatives and the business community as well as youth and residents in the town bought the bonds for the same goal.

He said they bought the bonds to realize the vision of the late PM Meles Zenawi towards development of the country.

According to ENA, the office is undertaking activities in the current Ethiopian budget year to mobilize and coordinate people from different walks of life to buy three million Birr worth bonds for the same goal, the head said.

How do you think foreign observers accept the action (i.e. the action of diverting the Abay course)?
