Ethiopia, Netherlands accede to avoid double taxation

Addis Ababa, August 11 (WIC) - The Ethiopian and the Netherlands governments signed here on Friday an agreement to avoid double taxation with a view to boost their economic cooperation and technological exchange.

Finance and Economic Development State Minister Alemayehu Gujo and the Netherlands ambassador to Ethiopia Hans Blankenberg signed the agreement.


As per the agreement, the tow nations would benefits from fast capital flow, item and service exchange.


On the occasion, the state minister Alemayehu said the agreement would further take the historical relation of the two countries to a higher level.


The Netherlands ambassador on his part said the agreement would help the two nations to enhance their trade and investment ties.


The two nations have been held consultations on the issue for one and half year, he said and adding, the agreement would boost the revenue the country is earning.
