City road coverage reaches 13.7 percent

Addis Ababa, August 4, 2012 (WIC) - The road coverage in Addis Ababa city has reached over 13.7 percent in 2004EC budget year from the previous 12.9 percent, the City Roads Authority said.

In a press conference he gave here on Friday, Authority General Manager, Eng. Fekade Haile said various activities have been undertaken to raise the road coverage of the City.

The activities include construction of 46-km asphalt roads and 207-km cobblestone roads and also bridges, among others.

According to Eng. Fekade, the activities created jobs for more than 3,000 people. (ENA)
