Ambassador takes leave of Pres. Girma

Addis Ababa, August 4, 2012 (WIC) - The departing Irish Ambassador to Ethiopia, Sile Magurie here on Friday took leave of President Girma Woldegiorgis.

President Girma on the occasion expresses his belief that Ireland would extend support for Ethiopia's green development efforts.

President Girma lauded the cooperation policy of Irish government.

He also commended the development works carried out by the Irish government in South Ethiopia and Tigray states.

The departing Ambassador on her part lauded the participation of Ethiopians in the development endeavor.

The ambassador said she witnessed remarkable achievements in health and education sectors.

She said if the nation maintains ongoing fast economic growth, the country will graduate from poverty in short possible. (ENA)
