Gindewoin-Kombolcha road nearing completion

Addis Ababa, July 19 (WIC) - The 309-km Gindewoin-Kombolcha road, which has been under construction with an outlay of over 1.3 billion birr earmarked by the government, is nearing completion.
The road would connect four towns along the route namely Gindewoin, Mertolemariam, Mekaneselam and Kombolcha, when completed. 

It is also believed to be the best to connecting northwestern parts of Ethiopia with Djibouti in the future. A 280 meter bridge would be constructed on Abay River.

The construction of the road is expected to facilitate export trade.

The Gindewoin-Kombolcha road will be completed next Ethiopian budget year.
