Ethiopia calls on stakeholders to deal with illegal human trafficking

Addis Ababa, June 29 (WIC) - The government of Ethiopia has called on all stakeholders, including the media, civil societies and religious institutions, to cooperate fully with the government in trying to stamp out illegal human trafficking.


Ambassador Dina Mufti, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said today the government had set up a national committee, comprising all stakeholders to try to put an end to all such activities.

He emphasized that the illegal movement of people often had dreadful consequences.

He said everybody should do their level best to put an end to such activities and should avoid them at all costs. (MoFA)
