Authority, Israeli contractor ink agreement for execution of road project

Addis Ababa, June 13 (WIC) – The Addis Ababa Roads Authority on Friday signed an agreement with Islali Tidhar Road Contractor for the execution of a road project.

As per the contract agreement, the Islali road contractor would carry out the construction of the 4.1 km-long Sidist Kilo-Ferensay Check Point -Gurara asphalt road at a cost of over half a billion US dollars.

The road, to be fully financed by the Addis Ababa City Administration, will have a 4.1 km-length and 25 meter width. A 53 meter-long and 25 meter-wide bridge will also be built on Kebena river.

The road will ensure the smooth flow of vehicles upon completion within 480 calendar days, it was learnt.
