Ethiopia, Sudan sign agreement on extradition of criminals
Addis Ababa, May 17, 2012 (WIC) - Ethiopia and Sudan signed an agreement on Wednesday to work in cooperation on extradition of criminals and issues of controlling crime.
Ethiopia’s Minister of Justice, Berhan Hailu and his Sudanese counterpart Mohamed Bushara signed the agreement in Addis Ababa.
Speaking on the occasion, Berhan said the agreement would boost the existing political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement would also help to prevent individuals attempting to hide in both countries after committing crime. He said Ethiopia is willing to share its experience in law and justice system to Sudan.
Bushara for his part said Sudan is ready to work cooperatively with Ethiopia in other issues also.
