Geldof commends Ethiopia’s economic progress

Addis Ababa, May 15 (WIC) - The renowned British singer, Sir Bob Geldof, commended Ethiopia’s speedy economic growth.

In an exclusive interview with ERTA, Geldof in particularly applauded the growth the country has been registering in the agricultural sector.

Geldof also hailed the progress in the health and education sectors while he was in Addis Ababa to attend the 22nd World Economic Forum on Africa held last week.

The singer contributed his share in mobilizing the international community to respond to the 1984 Ethiopian famine.
