Norway, Ethiopia working closely in green growth
Addis Ababa, May 11, 2012 (WIC) - The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation has expressed its readiness to continue its support to Ethiopia’s environment friendly energy sources and agriculture development.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hailemariam Dessalegn held talks on Wednesday with a delegation led by Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation. The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on issues of common interest in political affairs.
On the occasion, Hailemariam said Norway’s decision to double its support to Ethiopia further strengthens relations of the two countries. He also said Norway has significant contribution in working for sustainable stability in the horn of Africa.
According to ERTA, Minister of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, Hickey Homas for his part said Ethiopia and Norway are working closely especially in ensuring green growth.
