Non-Aligned Movement high-level expert’s meeting opens in Sharm el-Sheikh

Addis Ababa, May 7 (WIC) - A two day high–level experts meeting of Non-Aligned movement member countries begins today, May 7, 2012 in the Egyptian resort town Sharm el-Sheikh.

The meeting is expected to discuss matters pertaining to the implementation of the Sharm el-Sheikh Declaration passed at the 15th general meeting of NAM members in 2009.

The meeting will be followed by a ministerial meeting (May 9th -10th), to prepare documents and draft resolutions for the 16th NAM Heads of meeting being held August 26th-31st in Tehran, Iran.

Ethiopia as a member of NAM is participating in both the expert level and ministerial meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Berhane-Gebrechristos will attend the ministerial meeting.
