Ministry awards 18 exporters of oilseeds, cereals, pulses and spices

Addis Ababa, May 3 (WIC) - The Ministry of Trade said on Wednesday exporters of oilseeds, cereals, pulses and spices should work in a coordinated manner to boost income expected from the sector.

The Ministry awarded exporters with better performance in 2011 in exporting oilseeds, cereals, pulses and spices. 18 exporters were recognized for their performance and received their award from Minister of Trade, Kebede Chane.

After giving the award Kebede said 461 million US dollars was secured from the sector over the past nine months.

He urged the exporters to do their level best in working hand in hand to achieve the 2 billion US dollars income set for 2015 from the sector.
