Eritrea coerced Ethiopian to attack terrorist training camps
Eritrea has been attempting to jeopardize development efforts in Ethiopia through its proxy war and its direct interference in training, arming and sending to Ethiopia to commit their terrorist activities. Its interference in Somalia is unreserved. Despite the efforts made by the Ethiopian government to bring lasting peace and stability in the horn region, the state in Eritrea continued poisoning it. It opened various terrorist training camps in Eritrea and continued its destabilizing activities.
That is why the Ethiopian Defense forces decided to attack three of the terrorist training camps some 18 Kilometers inside Eritrea where groups who aimed to destabilize the horn region have been training. Of course, the attack on these camps, according to the Ethiopian Ministry of defense, was proportional.
It is crystal clear that Ethiopia firmly believes disputes between the two neighboring countries can and should only be solved by peaceful means. Based on this principled position, the country has repeatedly expressed its firm resolve to engage in dialogue and negotiations with the Eritrean government.
Despite the numerous efforts to reach a peaceful and negotiated settlement, the Eritrean government has chosen to continue with its belligerent attacks on civilians and infrastructural targets through its surrogates outfits. Since Ethiopia has consistently and steadfastly adhered to its peaceful stance, it is dismayed by Eritrea’s escalation of destabilization activities as manifested in its recent terrorist acts and abduction of tourists, GCAO disclosed.
That is Why Ethiopia took that proportional attack on the Eritrean terrorist training camps. It is due to the continuous terrorist activities that the Eritrean State has committed on the Ethiopian boarders and targeting foreign tourists beside its actions to destabilize Ethiopia and other countries in the Horn Region. The rogue state in Asmara coerced Ethiopia to take measures up on its camps against its devotion and commitment to peace and stability in the region. It is believed that unless a serious measure is taken upon the State in Asmara, it never cease its efforts of destabilizing the region. There for such actions should continue until the rogue state give value to peaceful negotiations and restrain itself from committing terrorist activities on Ethiopia.
