Over 1 mln voters registered in Tigray state PDF Print E-mail

Mekelle, January 28 (WIC) – More than one million voters have been registered in Tigray state for the upcoming national elections, election board office said.

 

Office Head, Wondimu Gota, told WIC the voters were registered in all polling stations established in the state.    

 

According to Wondimu, 56 per cent of the eligible voters have so far been registered in the state.   

 

He further said All Ethiopian Unity Organization (AEUO), Ethiopia Democratic Party (EDP), and Coalition for Unity and Democracy (Kinijit) have fielded their candidates.

 

 

The Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) will field 190 candidates for the elections, it was learnt.
