Harar, December 24 (WIC) – More than 4.4 million quintals of agricultural output will be reaped from 18 woredas of east Hararge zone this Meher season, zone agriculture and rural development office said.

Office Head, Feysel Temeli, told WIC today that the stated output will be collected from 380,271 hectares of land covered with sorghum, maize, barely, haricot bean, peanut, cereal crop and oil seeds.  

He said the agricultural output due to be collected in the reported period is believed to exceed that of last year by 28 per cent.   

Feysel attributed the increase in production to the timely distribution of agricultural inputs and various support given by agricultural professionals.
