League urges youth to make forthcoming election peaceful PDF Print E-mail

Addis Ababa,  November 28 (WIC) –President of the Mekele Town Youth League, Tekeste Berhe, called up on all Ethiopian youth to discharge their share in order to make the forthcoming national election fair, peaceful and democratic.

 

In an exclusive interview with WIC, Tekeste said the youth should know exactly country’s constitution and election code of conduct recently signed among political parties so as to make upcoming election peaceful and transparent.   

 

He said the youth should have good understanding of the election code of conduct in particular so as not to be weapon for political parties that are operating out of the constitution and looking for violence.   

 

The youth need to support those political parties abide by election code of conduct and work in line with the constitution, he noted.    

 

He further said that the youth need to take active part in the development efforts underway in the country so as to see a prosperous Ethiopia in the future.   

 

According to Tekeste, the active involvement of the youth in the socio-economic, political and good governance endeavors is indispensable towards expediting the economic growth of the country.   

 

He finally called up on the youth to fulfill what is expected of them for the economic growth of the country.
