University launches nine postgraduate programs PDF Print E-mail

Mekelle, November 18 (WIC) – The Mekelle University said it has launched nine of the ten postgraduate programs it planned for this academic year.

 

 

University Academic Vice President, Dr. Kindeya Gebrehiwot, told WIC that the programs include literature, chemistry, physics, biology, geography, social anthropology, production and industrial systems engineering, renewable energy technology as well as design and product development.

 

Dr. Kindeya said preparations have also been finalized  to launch the remaining public health program in the second semester.

 

The university is exerting efforts to enable the training programs being given in the university acquire recognition by various international education centers, the vice president said.

 

According to Dr. Kindeya, the engineering and law programs will get recognition by the centers soon. 

Mekelle University has reportedly enrolled 4, 780 news students this academic year.
