ADA to consolidate dev't, fund raising programs PDF Print E-mail

Addis Ababa, November 5 (WIC) - The Amhara Development Association (ADA) said it would consolidate fund raising and development programs in the state this budget year.

 

In an exclusive interview with WIC, ADA Board Chairperson, Hilawi Yosef, said the programs will be carried out under the theme: “ADA 2002 developmental unity for enhanced results.   

 

He said the programs will be carried out through strengthening developmental unity among natives of the state, indigenous organizations and international development partners.

He said ADA has constructed several health, education, and road facilities  as well as enabled unemployed youth and war survivors to become self sufficient through providing life skill trainings since its establishment in 1992.   

 

He further said the association in close collaboration with natives of the state and development partners has expanded reproductive health services, furnished hospitals with equipments as well as carried out various development activities.   

 

The association is exerting utmost efforts to further enhance the education and health sectors, he added.   

 

Hilawi finally called on natives and residents of the state as well as development partners to contribute their shares in the efforts underway to expedite development in the state.   

 

ADA Director, Solomon Tadesse, on his part said the program would help to alleviate the multifaceted problems of residents of the state.     

 

He further said the association would maximize efforts to increase the number of its members and development partners.   

 

Established 18 years ago, ADA has more than 500,000 members now.
