Over 31 mln USD earned from export PDF Print E-mail

Adama, November 5 (WIC) – The Adama Branch Office of the Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority said more than 31 million USD was obtained from agriculture produce exported during the past three months.

 

Office Manager, Amogne Tagele, told WIC today that the revenue was earned from agriculture produce exported to Yemen, Italy, Djibouti and various countries via Nazareth customs. 

He said livestock, oilseeds and grains were among the items exported in the reported period.   In a related development, the office intercepted contraband goods worth 1.7 million birr in the first quarter of the budget year through collaborated efforts of the federal police and the community, he said.     

 

According to Amogne, the contraband goods included electronic materials, clothes, medicines, cigarettes, cosmetics and Shisha pipes, among others.
