Meles holds talks with Agriculture Minister of Netherlands PDF Print E-mail

Addis Ababa, November 4, 2009  - Prime Minister Meles Zenawi here on Wednesday held talks with Agriculture Minister of the Netherlands, Gerda Verburg.

 

Meles on the occasion said that the Ethiopian government would do its level best to further enhance its relation with Netherlands.

 

The premier said the necessary support has been provided to Dutch investors who are engaged in vegetable and fruit development sector in Ethiopia.

 

The minister on her part expressed her country’s desire to scale up its cooperation with Ethiopia in different areas.  

 

The minister expressed happiness over the achievements of the Dutch investors engaged in vegetable and fruits development sector here.

 

She said her government would provide all the necessary support to enable more Dutch investors to be engaged in Ethiopia.  

 

The two sides also discussed on the upcoming Copenhagen Climate Change Conference where Prime Minister Meles Zenawi will be heading the negotiating team of Africa. (ENA
