Agreement shows advancement of tolerance, consensus among political parties PDF Print E-mail

Addis Ababa, November 4 (WIC) - The joint electoral code of conduct and its implementation guideline agreement signed among the four political parties signals the advancement of tolerance and consensus among parties, youth associations of four states said.

 

Presidents of the Addis Ababa Branch Offices of the SNNP, Amhara, Oromia and Tigray States Youth Associations told WIC that the agreement concluded in a give and take principle shows the maturity of democracy in the country.

 

 

 

They said the agreement would have essential contributions to make the upcoming national election transparent, free, peaceful and democratic as well as increases participation of the youth in the election.   

 

The presidents further said the agreement would enable the youth to scale up their efforts geared towards realizing the renaissances of the country.    

 

They finally called on other political parties who didn’t sign the accord to show their determination on tolerance and consensus.
