Preparations underway to colorfully celebrate Nation, Nationalities, Peoples Day PDF Print E-mail

Mekele, October 31 (WIC) – The Tigray State Public and Government Relations Bureau said preparations are underway for the fourth anniversary of the Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Day due to be marked in Dire Dawa town on December 8, 2009.

 

Bureau Information Flow Key Work Process Owner, Aregawi Atsbiha, told WIC today that committees were established so as to celebrate the day colorfully.  He said various bodies including Kunama and Irob nations are being recruited to participate in the celebration.   Preparations are also underway to colorfully celebrate the day through panel discussion and various events in Tigray state, he said.       He urged all mass medias in the state to discharge their responsibilities in promoting the significance of the day towards attaining the efforts being made to create a unified socio-economic community.   

The day will be marked to signify the victories and benefits of all nations, nationalities and peoples of the country obtained in the federal system as well as strengthen the existing relationship among themselves.
