Office seizes close to 1 mln birr worth contraband goods PDF Print E-mail

Addis Ababa, October 26 (WIC) – The Addis Ababa Airport Revenue  and Customs branch office said it has intercepted contraband goods worth close to one million birr at Bole International Airport on Saturday. 

 

Office Travelers Service Process Owner, Yoseph Adayu, told WIC that the contraband goods included mobile phone accessories, memory cards, lenses, computer and DVD power spare parts and other electronics materials.    

He said the office has put under control one of the two individuals who attempted to import the goods illicitly.

   

According to Yoseph, the contraband goods were seized through coordinated efforts of the community and the office.
