CBE to open branch at AAU’s premises PDF Print E-mail

Addis Ababa, October 23 (WIC) – The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) has signed an agreement with the Addis Ababa University (AAU) so as to open its branch in the premises of the university.

 

CBE President, Bekalu Zeleke, said at the agreement signing ceremony that the branch will be opened with a view to offering quick money transfer service to students, the university, staffs of the university and residents of the environs.

He said the opening of the bank will also help to provide practical training to banking students in the university.    

 

He said the bank will be constructed with over 1.1 million birr on 900 square meters of land granted by the university.   

 

AAU President, Andreas Eshete, on the occasion said the opening of the bank will help the university to collect the money it obtains from international organizations and institutions smoothly. 

  

Moreover, the bank will enable students and employees of the university get access to banking service easily, Andreas indicated.
