Halaba building 22 mln birr district hospital

Hawassa. May 7 (WIC) -Construction of the Halaba district hospital launched with 22 million birr is being speeded up, administrator of Halaba special woreda in SNNP state announced.
Nuredin Hasses told WIC that construction of the district hps[ital was launched the current year with the integrated efforts of the government and residents of the area. Farmers, investors and other sections of the public have raised over 14 million birr for the construction of the woreda level district hospital, while the balance was provided by the special woreda and town's administration. The state's government has also pledged to furnish the hospital. Nuredin, who is also chairman of the hospital construction committee, said that about 67 percent of work on the construction of the hospital has already been finalized. The district hospital is expected to go operational in few months time. Construction of the district hospital would enable residents of Halaba special woreda and five adjacent woredas enjoy quality health service, he said. |
