Addis Ababa, September 1 - The Peace and Security Council of the African Union (AU), was briefed on 24 August 2010 by the deputy special representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission for Somalia, by the special representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations for Somalia and the representative of IGAD on the situation in Somalia, AU said.

Addis Ababa, August 31 (WIC) - Uganda is waiting for U.S. funding to send up to 10,000 extra troops to the African Union peacekeeping force in Somalia, Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces General Aronda Nyakairima told the Daily Monitor on Tuesday.
