Authority allots 6 million birr to watch, conserve heritages

Addis Ababa, May 14, 2013 (WIC) – Ethiopian Authority for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage said it has allotted 6 million birr to watch and conserve the heritages of the country.

Coordinator of Heritage conservation directorate in the Authority Ato Hailu Zeleke told WIC that cares and conservations are underway for heritages registered both at international and national levels.

Lallibella, Gonder, Axume, Tiya, Konso, Ambo Minilik’s Palace, Sheik Hojelle and Debre Linbanose Monastry are among the heritages that have got priorities.

The Authority has also given training and other technical supports to heritages under care of regional states, according to Ato Haile.
