Africa Scout Day marked

Addis Ababa, March 12, 2013 (WIC) - President Girma Woldegiorgis has said Ethiopia Scout Association is discharging its role in producing well-disciplined youths that love their country.

The President made the remark while Africa Scout Day was marked at the National Palace on Monday under the theme: “Scouts promoting good citizenship and peace”.

Girma said the Ethiopia Scout Association is undertaking effective activities in producing youths that are able to realize the development activities the nation has embarked up on.

Ethiopia Scout Association Chief Scout, Dr. Costantinos Berhe for his part said the Association is working to increase the number of scouts in Ethiopia.

According to ENA, Africa Scout Day is marked with various assortments on March 13 every year.
