Enterprise plans to secure over one bln birr revenue
Addis Ababa, July 30 (WIC) - The Ethiopian Airports Enterprise (EAE) announced plan to secure over one billion Birr revenue from various services during the 2005EC budget year.
The Enterprise told ENA that it has given prime attention to further strengthen its financial system through expansion of market span.
It said the stated sum will be obtained through undertaking airport infrastructure development and also providing standard airport services to beneficiaries.
EAE will implement a program enabling to encourage airlines' during the budget year.
It will focus on increasing the quality of its services, upgrading airport infrastructure, among others during the reported period.
The Enterprise aims to computerize its services and put in place integrated system to provide efficient services to beneficiaries.
In the efforts to improve safety of regional airports renovation of taxiway of the Robe Airport will be carried out during the new budget year.
Expansion and upgrading of Passengers' terminal of the Bahirdar International Airport will also be undertaken during the reported period.
It said there is plan to carry out 75 percent of the second phase taxiway construction of Kombolcha Airport and also fully finalize construction of passengers' terminals of the Jimma and Assosa Airports.
Expansion and upgrading of taxiway of the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport will be finalized during the reported period.
The Enterprise had secured over 816 million Birr in 2004EC budget year.
