City to construct 35,000 condominium houses in 2005 EC
Addis Ababa, July 5 (WIC) - Preparation has been finalized to construct 35,000 condominium houses next Ethiopian budget year, the Addis Ababa City Administration Construction and Housing Development Bureau said.
Bureau Head Getachew Hailemariam told ENA that the houses would be constructed in Yeka Abido site and in Bole area at Arab and Kilinto sites as well as in places reserved for condos construction.
He said 70 percent of the houses are for low income members of society.
According to Getachew, the city administration has planned to construct more than 170,000 houses in the coming three years.
He said the houses would be cost effective and inline with the city master plan.
He said 340 contractors would take part in the construction activities
