ACSI provides over 5 bln birr loan

Addis Ababa, 1 September 2014 (WIC) – The Amhara Credit and Saving Institution (ACSI) said it has provided more than 5 billion birr loan last Ethiopian budget year.

Managing director at the institution, Mekonnen Yelewemwossen, told WIC the amount of loan offered to clients last budget year surpassed by 968 million birr compared to the previous year.

Currently, the ACSI has 955, 218 clients, he said.

Established 18 years ago, ACSI has so far provided more than 22.1billion birr loan for 2.5 million people, according to Mekonnen.
