Federation Ensuring Rights, Benefits of Ethiopian Employers

Addis Ababa, 5 July 2014 (WIC) - The Ethiopian Employers Federation said it has carried out activities that ensure the unity, rights and benefits of employers.

The federation, in line with its five-year strategic plan, has reportedly opened 12 branches in different parts of the country.

Employers Federation President, Tadele Yimer, said branches were opened in Somali, Benishangul Gumuz and Afar Regional States as well as other 5 states.

Besides, the federation has created market networking and been giving legal and other supports to its members by making 13 governmental and private organizations, including Addis Ababa Roads Authority, members in the just concluded Ethiopian fiscal year, he added.

According to him, the federation has prepared a strategic plan for 2014/15-2018/19 and it focuses on mainly expansion of industry and consolidation of micro and small-scale enterprises.

The Ethiopian Employers Federation has 20 member associations and 263 member organizations, it was learned. (ENA)
