Ethiopian Diasporas reiterate participating in national development

Addis Ababa, 4 August 2014 (WIC) - Ethiopian Diaspora the United States, California said they are keen on to contribute for the development of the country.

Talking to Foreign Minister Dr. Tedros Adhanom, the Diasporas requested for conditions to be arranged for they can contribute their part in the development of their motherland, Ethiopia, including buying bonds for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Project (GERD).

They also appreciated the briefings they got from government officials about the investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

Dr. Tedros briefed them about the opportunities they get when they come to invest in Ethiopia; and he also said that some procedural arrangements are on progress for the Diasporas can contribute for GERD.

According to ERTA, the Diasporas expressed their eagerness to invest in agro-industry, education and other sectors in Ethiopia.
