Ethiopian CEO awarded

Addis Ababa, 23 July 2014 (WIC) - Ethiopian Airlines Board of Directors has awarded the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tewolde Gebremariam a Gold medal for his exemplary contributions in the success of the company.

It is indicated that the CEO has been awarded for his efforts to make the Airlines deliver sustainable quality services and profit making company.

He has also helped the Airlines to have a vision of becoming ‘the most competitive and leading aviation group in Africa by providing safe, market driven and customer focused passenger and cargo transport, aviation training, flight catering, MRO and ground services by 2025’ and leading towards its achievement , noted on the occasion.

Ethiopian Board Chair Addisu Legese said that the CEO and the rest of the staff in the company have made a great effort for the success of its mission and vision.

‘As the Airlines has a bigger role for the economic growth of the country, Company’s Board does provides every support to the employees,’ said Mr. Addisu.

The awardee CEO, Tewolde Gebremariam said the award he has won is not only for himself but also for the whole staff having made the Airlines reputable.

According to ERTA, Ethiopian became 18th in profit making out of some 50 best airlines in the world last year.
